Learn how to craft a powerful Diablo 4 Season 4 SSF amulet, from rolling +All Skills and useful affixes to tempering, socketing, and masterworking for endgame builds.

In Diablo 4 Season 4 SSF, an amulet can decide whether a build feels complete or merely functional. You are not shopping for a perfect drop, so the work starts with a decent ancestral base and a clear plan. Before spending rare materials, write down the stats your build actually uses. A Rogue may want Dexterity, Imbuement ranks, or an offensive damage roll, while another class could value a different skill family. Keep useful D4 items in reserve too, because replacing a failed crafting project is much less painful when your stash is not empty.

Build Around the Affix You Cannot Lose

The most awkward part of this project is not getting a strong roll. It is protecting it while fixing everything else. Use Add Affix with an Adept's Tuning Prism and chase +2 to All Skills. The result is random, and you may see Subterfuge, basic skills, or another useless option several times. That is normal. Once All Skills appears, visit the Occultist and enchant an unwanted affix so the skill bonus stays untouched. Players often rush past this step, then burn materials trying to recreate the roll.

  1. Set a material budget before you start.
  2. Keep All Skills locked before serious rerolling.
  3. Stop when a roll helps the build, even if it is not perfect.

Use Focused Rerolls With a Real Target

After the key bonus is safe, clean up the other affixes one at a time. Remove a weak stat, then use Focused Reroll to narrow the pool. This is where patience matters most. If your setup relies on Imbuement skills, keep cycling until that category appears, even if Shade or Trap skills show up along the way. Do not chase several unrelated upgrades at once. Decide which slot matters most, and accept a merely useful result when the cost starts climbing.

Add Damage Without Ruining the Base

An Aggressive Tuning Prism can supply the offensive piece that turns a good amulet into a damage item. Vulnerable Damage, Poison Damage, or Damage Over Time may all be valuable, depending on the build. Check the numbers in actual combat rather than assuming the largest-looking label wins. Once the affixes make sense, add a socket at the Jeweler and temper at the Blacksmith. An Offensive temper with a matching damage multiplier can be worth more than a small increase to a secondary stat.

Masterwork in Small, Deliberate Steps

Masterworking raises the amulet's power, but it also exposes how expensive perfection can be. Watch for critical upgrades landing on +All Skills; reaching +3 or +4 can change the feel of the build. If the improvements hit the wrong affix, decide whether the reset cost is justified before continuing. The rare Kullean Tuning Prism and Volatile Primordial Dust can support an extra affix or a special legendary effect, though most SSF players should treat that as a luxury. A crowd-control bonus may help against bosses, but a reliable, well-tempered amulet is usually the better stopping point. When you are short on a replacement base or a crafting component, browsing Diablo 4 Items for sale can also show what kind of upgrade you are aiming for.
